Reasonable and Customary Charges

Means charges incurred for goods and services that are comparable to what other providers charge for similar goods and services in the same geographical area.

You'll often see this terminology used on health care plans where a particular benefit doesn't specify an exact dollar amount that it will cover, but rather that it will cover 'reasonable and customary charges'.
